Assessment

Your assignment will be in the form of a reflective essay the purpose of which is to uncover and explore your learning from this experience. The assignment needs to demonstrate reflective critical analysis and evaluation of how you have applied some of your acquired knowledge and learning from the Dorset HealthCare University Trust  Evidencing Professional Learning: Leadership Pathway to practice; and the impact/change this has had on others, i.e., team members, colleagues as appropriate. It should make use of your on-going critical reflection on the process and outcomes of putting the learning into practice to achieve change and/or improvement, plus any feedback received. It must also integrate some additional reading (via your organisation’s intranet materials for the programme, plus Bournemouth University library resources).

Learning Outcomes

Having completed this unit the student is expected to:

  1. Evidence the knowledge and skills required to be a competent, proficient registered practitioner in their specific care field
  2. Demonstrate competency in expanding/having expanded knowledge and skills in keeping with their professional body, employer and NHS/DH frameworks (where applicable), in order to develop their practice
  3. Critically reflect on the problem-solving, communication, management and leadership skills needed to work as an effective registered practitioner
