Practice placements are integral to a healthcare programme and is essential for professional development. We all remember our first day on placement; being made to feel welcome was vital to becoming part of the team. This interprofessional study day will help you to develop an understanding of the practice supervisor role (NMC 2018; HCPC 2017). This is an interactive day so come prepared to share your knowledge and experience.
What will you gain from the day?
Although this programme is provided by Bournemouth University and will reference the programmes we offer, the content of the day can readily be applied to the supervision and assessment of all learners.
This course is available to all health and social care registrants working in placement areas within the Bournemouth University placement areas. It is relevant for all practitioners supporting learners in the workplace. The Practice Supervisor Day must have been completed prior to attending the Practice Assessor day.
You will need access to a PC as the day is a combination of self-managed learning and a seminar delivered using Teams. Your joining instructions will contain all the information you need for the day, it is a good idea to check your spam/junk folders and add @bournemouth.ac.uk to your safe sender list, to ensure you receive all emails from BU.
