This module is for all healthcare professionals interested in undertaking independent study that develops evaluative and practical skills within a defined area of their professional practice.
This is a module that is tailored to your own area of interest that will enable you to explore, reflect upon and develop your learning and skills associated with an aspect of your professional practice. Guidance is provided throughout the module by an academic supervisor who will enable you to shape the module to your individual needs.
This level 7, distance learning module is available as a 15-credit or 30-credit module and can be studied as a standalone module or as a part of a Post-graduate qualification.
A clinical placement within the area appropriate to your practice and with agreement from your line manager (where relevant) is required in order to undertake the module.
100% coursework. The nature and scope of assessment will depend on your area of professional practice and be relevant to your final named award.
Typical examples of assessment include: written piece and evidence related to the development of skills.
The aim of the module is to develop the necessary clinical and evaluative skills for the competent performance of a prescribed area of clinical practice relevant to service needs.
This distance-learning module is facilitated by a supervisor who guides you through your learner journey, using on-line activities and tasks to support your learning.
