This module is designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies to organise, manage and deliver a Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation programme within a community setting.
It will be based on the national guidelines for cardiac rehabilitation which promote evidence-based practice for individuals who have had a known cardiac event. Students will be equipped with knowledge of aspects of cardiac disease, be exposed to the multi-disciplinary nature of effective cardiac rehabilitation services.
Who is this module for?
Suitable for practitioners with an interest in exercise and the potential of physical activity.
Applicants should normally have, or be expected to achieve a 2:1 honours degree (or international equivalent) in a related discipline e.g. sport, healthcare or physiology related subject.
If you are an international student, you will also need an English Language Qualification such as IELTS 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in each section), or other equivalent recognised language qualification.
