This module is suitable for healthcare practitioners working with adult patients in a range of acute clinical settings including cardiology, cardiac surgery, pre-hospital and emergency care, intensive care and acute medicine. Successful completion of the module will enable the practitioner to effectively use cardiac monitoring to facilitate clinical assessment and deliver evidence-based care for adults with cardiac arrhythmias.
Programme entry requirements
Applicants should normally be working in an environment where they frequently care for acute patients undergoing cardiac monitoring.

NOTE - TEMPORARY ASSESSMENT CHANGE: Due to Covid-19 social distancing requirements, this module has a modified assessment in place: Online Essay Questions. The modified assessment will apply to module runs starting from September 2020 and will remain in place until social distancing requirements can be sufficiently relaxed to allow on-site, face-to-face assessment. At the time of writing, it is not known when this will be.
