If you are undertaking, or are about to undertake, work related projects then this module is ideal. This may include audit, a conference presentation, producing clinical guidelines, role development, mandatory in-service study programmes. The module offers a flexible approach to learning that is primarily for recognition of learning in the clinical environment/employment setting. By formulating a learning agreement, a range of work-based activities or related study can be used and presented in a written form for assessment and the award of academic credit.

Applicants will be assigned to an academic supervisor with whom they negotiate the learning agreement and then continue to provide one-to-one support. Applicants will consider who can act as a critical friend, practice supervisor/educator in the work place to give them support whilst undertaking the work related activity this could be a manager, matron, practice educator or senior professional.
The course is also offered as an undergraduate award (level 6).
Who is this module for?
Registered healthcare professional normally with one year's post-qualifying practice experience.
Programme entry requirements.
Students must be independent learners and autonomous in their assigned work.
Prior to application the candidate must establish that they are able to identify work related learning in order to prepare a reflective analysis or report
After you have applied, you will be invited to attend a briefing session to meet with the module leader. The purpose of this will be to ascertain that the work related project or study programme you have identified will be suitable.
The amount of academic credit and the level of learning you will be completing will then be confirmed by E: and you can enrol to the module.
