This module aims to explore, in detail, the principles and practice of polytrauma patient care following their primary survey and admission to the critical care area. It is suitable for experienced intensive care nurses and other acute healthcare practitioners involved in the care of polytrauma patients during their intensive care phase.
Who is this module for?
Applicants should be experienced practitioners who are working within an adult Intensive Care Unit in a trauma hospital or tertiary trauma centre. A relevant specialist practice module, such as an intensive care course or equivalent must have been completed.
